Learn how to create call groups to route your incoming calls and direct them to the most relevant groups of users.
You can route your calls using a call distribution algorithm.
This tool complements the call rules that you define.
You can define how you want your call group to react to incoming calls, several states are possible: random, linear, circular, uniform and simultaneous.
Random distribution
If a pilot directory number is called, a member of the hunt group will be selected using a pseudo-random algorithm where each member of the hunt group has a percentage chance of being assigned a call based on the weighting assigned to it for this research group.
Linear distribution
If a Pilot Number is called, the search begins with the first member and continues through the list until an unoccupied line is found.
Circular distribution
If a Pilot Number is called, it is the same as for the Linear option.
Uniform distribution
There are two types of uniform distribution:
Simultaneous distribution.
If a pilot directory number is called, all free member objects call simultaneously until a member answers the call.
In this interactive example, we assume that you have defined 4 call groups: sales, technical, administrative and accounting.
You can then add the members you want.
